Do you want to take some pictures as a professional photographer and have the best memories of your visit? This is your viewpoint.
Roman Empire Viewpoint
If you come from the historical centre, you can easily arrive at it from Herrerías street. As you walk along towards the end of this street, a beautiful picture will be drawn in front of you and you will see the viewpoint on the other side of the sidewalk.
It is located at Realejo Street, which has that name in honour of the stop that Felipe IV made in this place. If you go a bit further, you may find another small viewpoint next to the marzipan factory La Logroñesa which is nationally known.
The viewpoint receives this name in honour to this centennial institution that is so important for the Holy Week of Montoro through which more than 400 decked romans parade every Holy Thursday walking through this place.
Why should you visit this viewpoint?
There is no greater surprise for our visitors, and especially for you, that you go down towards the town centre and suddenly you find a striking view of a jumble of hanging houses along the river.
If you look to the right, you will see a small hill on the other side of the Guadalquivir River known as Huerta de la Isla; it has this name because of the ground segment that remains isolated in some occasional river floods.
